Dr. Pewitt has been in leadership roles his entire life, from when he was an Eagle Scout and Order of the Arrow through the Boy Scouts Organization on through adulthood. Dr. Pewitt has been President of the Premedical Society, was in Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity and was even a Member of Sigma Sigma Phi National Honor Fraternity where he received an award for meritorious work for the advancement of osteopathic medicine.
Dr. Pewitt has been the Medical Director of over 13 local organizations and still serves on many today and he is an active staff member of both St. Francis Medical Center and Southeast Health Hospital.
On top of his achievements with his scouting, the military, education and in practice, Dr. Pewitt has also been a part of 13 major research projects related to both mental and physical health.
